MVRCCRI Join Hands for Pink October

As a part of promoting October as the world Breast cancer awareness month, MVRCCRI, Chooloor and Pratheeksha jointly organized a Breast Cancer Awareness program for the month of October; Pink October. Under the program, the hospital and Pratheeksha conducts a range of programs that make women of the area aware of various
aspects of Breast cancer.

The Pink October campaign was inaugurated by RDO Shamil Sebastian. Smt. Lakshmi Rajagopal who recovered from Blood cancer was honoured at the event. MVR Cancer Center chairman CN Vijayakrishnan and Medical Director Dr. E. Narayanankutty Warrier have spoken addressing the issue at the meeting.

The MVRCCRI, set up by the Care Foundation initiated by City Service Cooperative Bank, is situated on 15.5 acre property at Vellasseri in Kozhikode district with 300 bed strength spread over six lakhs square feet area. The Centre is named after the late CMP leader M. V. Raghavan. Inaugurated on January 17 2017, both the OP and IP departments are functional from January 18 2017. The Hospital established at a cost of INR 350 Crore has spent INR 150 crore for acquiring the latest Equipment.
